NCNW-GBS sponsors a "hands on" nutrition, sanitation and cooking workshop at
Haley House for 13 pre-teens and teens. Didi Emmons, chef/instructor taught
and demonstrated how to prepare healthy low fat and delicious meals prepared
with fresh fruits, vegetables and whole wheat ingredients. The young people
made a delicious whole wheat crust pizza covered with all fresh vegetables (
tomatoes, summer squash, sweet potato, garlic, onion and cheese) and banana
smoothies.
