Overcoming Childhood Obesity Initiative

On Saturday afternoon, January 23, 2010, The Greater Boston Section of the National Council of Negro Women sponsored a food preparation class at Haley House for children. Teaching and encouraging our children to prepare and eat healthy meals is part of the NCNW-GBS Overcoming Childhood Obesity Initiative. By utilizing the guidance from the chefs at Haley House Boston, MA, the NCNW-GBS is taking steps to educate families about easy ways to eat healthy and reduce childhood obesity. Just look at the photos below to see how making salad at the Haley House was informative and a lot of fun.
