Fundraisers
NCNW GBS holds annual fundraisers to support its varied
programs.
Upcoming Fundraisers include:

Women of Courage and
Conviction Awards
Banquet.
Over the last 18 years we have presented the NCNW Women of
Courage and Conviction award to women in the greater
Boston area, outstanding women who have served and continue to
serve out community with distinction. The awards banquet is one of
our major fund-raisers, and it allows us to celebrate the
contributions of these dedicated women.

Fall Fundraiser 2009 -The
NCNW-GBS
thanks you for your support and contributions to our Fall
Fundraiser. Members and friends viewed August Wilson's Play
"Fences" at the Huntington Theatre on Sunday, September 27, 2009
at 2:00 pm. Immediately following the presentation, our group
was treated to a reception with the cast members.

The 15th Annual Woman of Courage and
Conviction Banquet
The Banquet
was
held
on Saturday, March 31, 2007.
The reception
and silent auction began at at 6:00 pm, and dinner began at 7:00
p.m. with a program to honor the the Women of Courage and
Conviction 2007 awardees.
Auction items
included original art, framed art, baskets
filled with cosmetics, handcrafted jewelry, one hour
consultation with an Interior Designer, and an
opportunity to attend a multicultural workshop.

Alvin Ailey Dance
Group
Performance at the Wang Center for Sunday afternoon
on April 29, 2006, at 3:00 pm. Contact any member for orchestra tickets or

are priced at the group rate of $65.

Fundraiser Sweet Honey and the Rock
Performance at
Symphony Hall, Boston MA will be on Sunday afternoon May 6,
2007, at 3:00 pm. For orchestra tickets send email to
TICKETS@NCNWGBS.ORG.
Ticket price $60; a portion of
the proceeds from this event will be used to fund NCNW-GBS programs.

the Legacy was the theme
at the 14th Annual Women of
Courage and Conviction Banquet held on April 22, 2006.
The officers and members of the
NCNW- Greater Boston Section wish to thank our speaker: Jackie Jenkins-Scott, President of

corporate sponsors, program advertisers, silent auction contributors and friends for
helping the Boston Section honor outstanding
Women
of Courage and Conviction. We sincerely appreciate

Pictures are available for purchase. At the 14th annual event, we raised over $15,000.

Fundraiser
Radio Golf by August Wilson The
Performance at the
Huntington Theatre, was held on Sunday afternoon
on October 15, 2006, at 2:00 pm. For orchestra tickets send email to
TICKETS@NCNWGBS.ORG.
There will be a reception immediately following
the performance with the actors. Tickets are $60; a portion of
the proceeds will be used to fund NCNW-GBS programs.

The Evening of Giving is in its
third
year, sponsored by the Simon Property Group at Burlington Mall
in November. Non-profit organizations raise money by
selling tickets, and visitors at the mall on the designated
evening get the benefit of special sales and promotions, just in
time for the holidays. See Giving
